Highway 98 - 30A Bypass

30A Entering Alys Beach

30A Beach Access from GulfPlace

For every house is built by someone,
but the builder of all things is God.
Hebrews 3:4

Driving down 30A through the different communities is part of the fun of visiting!

But there are occasions when a bypass is appreciated to avoid the small pockets of congestion. (Such as when your little one is car sick due to stop-go scenarios or starving because your snack stash is low.)

State highway 98 runs “parallel” to 30A, and several county roads along 30A provide a direct connection between them.

Just watch out for Saturday traffic on Highway 98 going toward Destin!

Much of the area surrounding 30A is a protected state forest called Point Washington.  The forest limits development and thankfully limits traffic on those connecting roads as well.
